Be Where Your Feet Are - June Relection

Be Where Your Feet Are - June Relection

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how fast this season moves.

One moment, the lilacs are just beginning to open, and the next, the fields are bursting with lupins, daisies, and wild roses. It all happens so quickly. Nature seems to rush into life all at once, and if we blink, we miss it.

Everything blooms at once. The air warm, fields are full of colour, and the studio fills with flowers and inspiration, as I try to keep up with it all.

But in the middle of that beautiful rush, I keep coming back to one quiet question:

How can I slow down and really feel it?

In the studio, I try to hold onto that feeling of being fully present. That sweet spot of creative flow when time softens, the music hums in the background, and I lose myself in the process of pressing, arranging, and creating. It's never about perfection. It's about being right here.

That’s what this is really about...finding peace, patience and pressing meaning into each day.

I created this blog and my 'Inside the Studio' newsletter as a space to also help you pause. To share what’s blooming here, creatively and personally. To invite you into the slower, quieter moments behind the scenes. The ones that often get lost in the scroll.

Whether you're deep into a creative project, watching your garden grow, or simply trying to soak up the sweetness of a Nova Scotia summer, I hope this reminds you to be where your feet are.

The season is short.
The beauty is worth noticing.
And your presence is the most meaningful part of it all.

What’s blooming in your life right now?
It doesn’t have to be loud or obvious. Maybe it’s a quiet idea you’ve been nurturing. A feeling that’s just starting to open. A tiny joy that’s shown up in your day.
Write it down, press it into your memory. That’s where the magic lives.

Thanks for being here. For slowing down with me, for noticing the details, and for valuing the beauty in simple things.

With love from the studio,
Ashley
