Preserving Your Wedding Bouquet - 2023 update!

2023 Wedding Bouquet Preservation

After 4 full and incredible seasons of helping local brides preserve their wedding flowers and 4 years of learning, growing and listening to my clients requests I knew it was time to put some major changes in place for 2023.

I want you to know that these changes have not come lightly and a lot of thought and heart has been put behind them. If you are getting married this coming year and wish to have your bouquet pressed into a forever piece of artwork, please read below.

What are the biggest changes for this season?!

• You can now fully book your wedding bouquet through our website! This process allows you check our availability, select your drop off date, complete your contract AND pay your deposit all together. Go here and click the book now button.

• New frames are here! After 2 years of supply issues, I finally make the switch to handcrafted and locally made! All our frames are now handmade right here in the Annapolis Valley out of quality pine. These frames will be carefully finished by yours truly and you can choose between a clear matte finish which compliments the natural flowers beautifully, or you can upgrade to hand-painted white. Yes these are a labour of love, but we are so excited to offer such bespoke quality. To finish, your flowers will also be enclosed with a double white matte and a 3mm plexiglass which is thick & durable and allows us to safely ship your flowers to you if you do not live local.

• Last but not least, you are now able to select additional items to add to your order! More intimate celebrations over the last few years had couples wanting to preserve more of their day to share with family and loved ones. If you're wanting meaningful gifts for your bridesmaids, flower girls or loved ones you now have some lovely new options to help them remember your day together.

Frequently asked questions about preserving your wedding flowers:

Q: HOW LONG DO THE FLOWERS TAKE TO DRY?
A: While each flower dries differently in it’s own time, most bouquets take 3-5 weeks to completely dry and press. It will take an additional 2-4 weeks to complete your artwork once they are dry.

Q: I'M NOT LOCAL TO YOU, CAN YOU PRESS MY BOUQUET?
A: Your bouquet is very delicate and time-sensitive (fresh flowers always press best). While we do prefer it hand-delivered within 1-2 days of your wedding, if you are unable to deliver personally please reach out to discuss shipping your bouquet to us by courier at your expense. We suggest next day delivery with special packing instructions. Along with this, you can also now pay to have your finished artwork shipped to you once it's complete!

Q: HOW DO I KEEP MY FLOWERS FRESH FOR YOU?
A: After you are done with your ceremony & photos we recommend to keep your bouquet in a cool space and out of direct summer heat and in water until they are delivered. This will prevent wilting and help ensure they arrive in the best shape possible for pressing. If you have table arrangements with similar flowers you can always send a few extras to make sure we are pressing the best flowers for your final artwork.
