About me

get in touch
Hey there

 I´m Ashley

Living in a rural community on the East Coast of Nova Scotia I love nature, wildflowers and feel most at ease by the water. My designs are commonly influenced by objects in nature, my beautiful province and colourful wildflowers.

Seek & Bloom focuses on the slow art of flower pressing while incorporating the modern approach of graphic arts to create designs that feel organic and elegant. Products are created using pressed and preserved flowers and foliage foraged in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia and digitized for stationery that looks and feels organic. I full heartily believe in supporting local and always strive to collaborate with other local artisans and flower farms to create my products.

With a strong background in graphic arts, stationery design and my love for nature and flowers, pressing flowers provides me with a sense of nostalgia and has calmed my yearning for a more soulful lifestyle. After years as an entrepreneur in the creative industry the transition into Seek & Bloom has felt organic and fulfilling and I have been gratified with this slow, hands on process of creating.

Most days you will find me in my home studio designing and playing with pressed flowers. When I’m not creating you will find me working on my other life passions, on an adventure with my family, relaxing with a local cider at the lake or at the gym lifting weights and spinning my heart out!

Keep blooming, Ashley

“I like the smell of the ocean, the touch of the earth, the taste of berries, the sight of wildflowers,
the sound of laughter, and the feeling of my soul being totally alive.”
